Austin Wedding Videographer Jake McDonald · Est. 2014

the people

Behind the camera

A small crew that films one wedding a day.

01The studio
since 2014,

Twelve years of paying attention

Moonlit started in 2014 with one camera and a borrowed tripod. Twelve years later the kit has grown, but the job hasn't changed: pay attention, stay out of the way, and bring the day back whole.

Fair warning: we'll probably get choked up during your ceremony, joke with your grandparents, and air-guitar on the dance floor. The camera never stops paying attention.

Off the clock you'll find us at Barton Springs, fixing a thrift-store camcorder, or arguing that the last hour of the night is when the real wedding starts.

03How we work

Three things we won't budge on

I

Quiet presence

No branded polos, no standing in the aisle, no asking a room to be quiet for us. If your guests remember the videographers, we did it wrong.

II

Edited by feeling

No template timelines. Every film is cut around your ceremony audio and the moments that were actually yours.

III

Small on purpose

One wedding a day and a limited number per season. Your film gets edited by the people who were in the room.

04The crew

Never subcontracted

Every wedding is filmed by our own small, steady bench. Nobody you haven't heard of shows up on the day.
